South Hill
Trick or Treat will be the sound of the night and it is going to be a night of howling good fun and it is time to do the mash, “the Monster Mash” and that is what the South Hill Revitalization and Market Square Committee will present in Market Square on October 31 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m..
This will be the final Affair on the Square for 2009 in downtown South Hill. The scary fun will start at 4 and end at 7 p.m. so youngsters will still have time to trick or treat in the neighborhoods.
This is a hugely popular event that draws hundreds of kids from around the area to a safe and fun environment. They get to play games, get candy from different organizations and can dress up for the costume contest for children up to the age of 12. Shep Moss will be spinning music that will give the evening a haunting feeling, Food and beverages and candy will be available from The South Hill Rotary Club and The South Hill Ruritan Club and Italian Ice from Lake Country Moon Bounce and Party Rentals (who will also have inflatable’s on the site). Robert Harris Photography will again be taking photos for a $10.00 donation to the SHRC.
Sponsors for the 2009 Affair on the Square events include Town of South Hill, US 98.3 Radio and WSHV 1370 AM-TV 16, J. A. Barker Construction, Coors Light, Biggs Construction, Rosemont Vineyards and Winery, Fleshood Chiropractic, Robert Harris Photography, Express Care and Express Car Wash, Remac Inc.
